“GlenMary in Beachburg is set up to be a retreat home and a farmstead. It is incredibly silent and promises a good respite. There are several bedrooms on the second level; a really large, open-space kitchen with all the amenities you need to create a good meal and an eat-in dining table. I thoroughly enjoyed the luxurious victorian-style sitting room with a piano, and the dramatic sweeping stairway that leads upstairs from the foyer. The porch area is simply idyllic, gazing out onto the old and silent, dusty country road with occasional good company as the brood of free-roaming chickens inquisitively migrate around the land, pecking, and scratching as they do at the ground. It is ideal for longer stays as you get to enjoy the rejuvenating retreat the farmstead brings, cook delightful meals, tinker on the piano, and perhaps indulge in writing.
